New semesters span six month periods which open in March and September. Our students learn 1 hour and 20 minutes every 5 days in a week except the weekend and holiday. Programs has three categories as Basic Program, Special Elementary, and Stages, and the details are like below.

Elementary & Middle School

Basic Program

The primary goal of the Bridge Light Basic Elementary level of English Education is to prepare the students to realize the application of knowledge attained across the four critical skill areas (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in situations congruent with their gradation of student acquisition. Some of the standards of acquisition for which students target to archieve success at this level are:

Special Elementary (SE)

The fundamental goal of the Bridge Light Specialized Elementary level of English Education is to prepare the students to realize the application of knowledge attained across the four critical skill areas (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in situations congruent with their gradation of student acquisition. What distinguishes this level from the Basic Elementary level is that students in this program strive to perform at or near comparable reading and comprehension levels demonstrated by native English speakers of a similar age group. Some of the standards of acquisition for which students target to achieve success at this level are:

Middle & High School

Introductory & Developmental Stage (SI & SD)

This level is designed to introduce middle school students with limited exposure to English education to the importance of learning English. Students in this level tend to be deficient in some of the critical skill areas, and need a refresher to strengthen their overall understanding of the fundamentals of basic English. The objectives of this level focus on:

  • Acquisition of basic grammar understanding
  • Development of the critical skill of reading comprehension
  • Instilling the importance of forming complete sentences for communicative interchange
  • Developing writing skills through daily writing assignments
  • Development of more advanced conversation skills
    - How to ask basic questions; Every question must be delivered in a fully developed question
    - How to respond to basic questions (negatively and affirmatively); Every response must be delivered in fully developed sentences
    - Development of more complex sentence structures
  • Cultivation of greater confidence in students crucial to higher levels of proficiency

Application Stage (SA)

This level is designed to provide students with exceptional critical language skill mastery. Students matriculated in this class have demonstrated their determination to realize fluency by committing to English as the only language of communication within the school. These students are the greatest of examples and represent the promise of what can be realized when true determination meets effort. Students in this class have learned that language acquisition without application is ultimately fruitless. Some of the primary areas of emphasis at this level are focus on:

  • Increasing comprehension of advanced grammar structures
  • Development of advanced conversation skills
    - Asking complex questions; Every question must be delivered in a fully developed question
    - Responding to advanced questions; Every response must be delivered in fully developed sentences
    - Development of more complex sentence structures
  • Intensive vocabulary building using textbooks which reflect vocabulary used at the high school/university level by native speakers
  • Acquisition of new vocabulary through context comprehension
  • Enhanced listening development through intensive student/teacher communicative interaction
  • Daily writing assignments
  • Intensive reading across a wide variety of academic subjects at a high school/university level
  • Constant feedback on how to improve comprehension and critical language skills
  • In depth and detailed student presentations of study material
  • Developing of critical thinking and debate skills
  • Cultivation of greater confidence crucial to higher levels of fluency

Mastery Stage (SM)

This class is specifically designed to continue the drive towards absolute fluency in students who have achieved a significant level of proficiency in all of the critical language skill areas, and who have demonstrated the confidence to participate without fear in the process of language acquisition. Focus in this class will be on intensive reading, discussion, and debate of issues and information across a comprehensive variety of subjects. The objectives of this class focus on:

  • Increasing comprehension of advanced grammar structures
  • Development of advanced conversation skills
    - Committment to open discussion
    - Complete explanations and descriptions of opinions or ideas
  • Intensive vocabulary building using books which reflect vocabulary used at the high school/university level by native speakers
  • Acquisition of new vocabulary through context comprehension
  • Enhanced listening development through intensive student/teacher communicative interaction
  • Intensive reading across a wide variety of academic subjects at a high school/university level
  • Constant feedback on how to improve comprehension and critical language skills
  • In depth and detailed student presentations of study material
  • Mastery of critical thinking and debate skills
  • Cultivation of greater confidence crucial to higher levels of fluency
